Rahul Gandhi has regularly been slammed for being an aimless man. A man who has no aim. Who maybe just aims, but has no aim plan. He aims on an aim, which is in the future. But the aim is not small, it is not short either. It is elaborate. And people get bored when he speaks.
My teachers had always complained that I was unable to express myself in my answers. I got lesser marks in English than people who were evidently below par, particularly in board exams when the checker didn't know me beforehand. What was the reason? Those other students made grammatical errors at the drop of a hat, whereas it taking me months! (YEAH, it happens around April.)
Narendra Modi has become a product in today's commercialised world. Rahul is a product too. The difference is Modi exploits this fact, like my friends. In the exam, the teacher didn't see how many good essays I wrote around the year, or how much my vocab grow. S/he just checked the paper on the basis of how many points I wrote on why Babuli left his elder brother the next morning. My history of answers in class discussions didn't bother him/her. Probably if s/he had to predict my history on seeing my copy, I would come out as below average. The public similarly sees the recent past and Congress automatically begins to look below average. In contrast, when they "check" BJP, it appears precise and outstanding. Also, there is the anti-incumbency factor.
I don't say the problem was with the checker, the problem was with me too. And analogically, with Rahul Gandhi. But checkers are dumb to some extent I have to say.
A government with Congress wiling to work for the growth of the country is the best. One thing I don't like about Congress is that they focus 90% of their energy on the poor. That way they are actually keeping the poverty alive instead of eradicating it.And these poor give birth to other poors who vote for Congress in the subsequent elections. I hope Rahul Gandhi changes that. Especially if poverty is a state of mind.
Maybe the Congress secretly wants to lose so as to wash its stains. In my view, if the economy could fall so much under the leadership of Manmohan Singh, it couldn't have rose further. The country couldn't have been in safer hands than Singh's, ably supported by people like Chidambaram and Pranab Mukherjee during the times of global crisis. Maybe the Congress wants the BJP taste the hot soup. Honestly, I always burn my tongue with a hot soup.
The Congress should stand a much better chance in 2019 with an experienced Rahul, a retired? Sonia, an incumbent BJP, an improbable AAP and a desperate India with short term memory loss.
On an another note, do you know why Modi chose Vadodara as his second seat? That because it was earlier called Baroda. And he wanted to be the first person to fight on two seats which were previously spelled starting with 'B' (Banaras, Baroda) later changed to words starting with a 'V'.
He is such a maniac. Now decide who you are voting.
Not really. I am kidding. Don't believe everything you read.

Saw Rahul Gandhi's recent hindi interview on AajTak yesterday which made me write this piece.
